As America marks its 250th anniversary in 2026, the Hamlin All-American Flag Parade invites the community to come together in a meaningful, family-friendly celebration. Featuring a one-mile flag walk, patriotic ceremony, live music, and community activities, this free event honors the past while celebrating the shared values that unite us today.

Every attendee will receive a free handheld American flag. Larger home-mount flags will be available for purchase, encouraging participants to proudly display their flags throughout Hamlin and Horizon West after the event.

A Celebration of America’s Flag

The Hamlin All-American Flag Parade is dedicated to honoring the official flags of the United States throughout history. We welcome all historically recognized American flag variations and invite participants to carry these symbols of our nation’s unity, progress, and shared story. Below is the lists of the flags we will be allowing in our All-American Flag Parade!

9:00–10:00 AM

Check-in begins, DJ music, vendors and activities open

10:00–10:30 AM

Patriotic ceremony featuring the Horizon West American Legion and Daughters of the American Revolution

10:30–11:00 AM

One-mile American flag walk

11:00–1:00 PM

Live band, food trucks, vendors, kids activities, and community celebration

The estimated walk time is approximately 30 minutes, making the route accessible for families, children, and strollers. The route will require coordinated support at key crosswalks and turning points, including traffic and safety assistance as necessary, which may involve the Orange County Sheriff’s Officeor other authorized support services.

Upon completion of the walk, participants will return to the same location where the opening ceremony and festivities begin and where the post -walk celebration will conclude, allowing the entire event to remain centralized and operationally efficient.

The Flag Walk

The walk will utilize a single, centralized start and finish location at the Hamlin Green Space , allowing all event elements—including the opening ceremony stage, live band, sponsors, and vendors—to be set up in one area with centralized parking. Participants will complete an approximately one-mile loop walk, proceeding south along Hamlin Groves Trail, crossing south of Independence Parkway, reaching a designated turnaround point, and then looping back to the original starting location.
